i found out i was pregnant in may 2013. i was ecstatic, so was my partner. we had been trying for a baby for about a year. we went to my first trimester screening and found out the the baby had major structural problems and holoprosencephaly, and was eventually diagnosed with trisomy 13. i was 16 weeks along when i had my abortion. it was the best decision i could have made with the shitty situation i had been handed. i don’t feel regret, more i feel a mix of sadness and relief. sad that i don’t have my baby, relief that she won’t be in pain.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
