following a pilot program that included three large school districts and over 200 black and latino youth, get your life is an engaging, inclusive, and culturally-responsive hiv/sti prevention program made by and for black and latino young men.

get your life, named by youth participants after 200 black & latino ymsm participated in pilot testing, was designed to inspire conversations about hiv, stis, relationships and identities through a culturally responsive and sex positive lens.

get your life addresses topics specific to black & latino ymsm including cultural and social norms, relationship dynamics, impact of racism and homophobia, and hiv & sti risk.

the seven sessions aim to foster positive self-image, educate participants about their hiv/sti risks, and promote partner communication skills. through the expert-backed guide, the goal is to increase participants’ confidence as well as knowledge about hiv prevention, treatment and prep.
