innovative sexuality education series announces grantees of global impact award

喀麦隆vs巴西波胆分析 announces awards totalling $510,000 usd that will support nine organizations to deliver amaze animated videos to their region and increase access to free sexual health information and resources

washington, d.c.amaze, an initiative of 喀麦隆vs巴西波胆分析 implemented in partnership with organizations around the world  and that harnesses the power of digital 世界杯2022亚洲预选赛b组 to provide young adolescents with free access to medically accurate, age-appropriate, affirming, and honest sexuality education, today announced nine organizations as the recipients of $510,000 usd in global impact awards. 

the global impact awards support organizations in adapting, developing new, and disseminating amaze videos animated sexuality education videos that teach about puberty, healthy relationships, development, sexuality, and how to prevent stis, including hiv,  unintended pregnancy, and sexual violence. 

amaze convened a review committee that met to recommend recipients for the global impact awards. the committee was comprised of sexual and reproductive health and rights experts including aissatou diallo, christine clark, jama jack, jennifer gayles, rebecka lundgren, tamara kreinin, and dr. yvette efevbera. 

a coalition of sexuality education experts created amaze, and since its launch, videos have been dubbed into over 70 languages, resulting in over 1,7000 internationally dubbed and adapted versions. the amaze team works to expand amaze’s reach internationally through partnerships with youth-led organizations, non-governmental organizations, multilateral agencies, and ministries of education and health worldwide to translate, adapt, and create new amaze videos and complementary resources.

“what makes amaze unique is the combination of sexuality education expertise and youth engagement with the creativity of animators to create health information that’s informative, fun, affirming, as well as entertaining,” said nicole cheetham, director of amaze international and an expert in global youth sexual and reproductive health and sexuality education.  “the winning organizations are committed to sexuality education and to adapting amaze videos and resources to their local contexts. they will be leveraging existing programming and expertise to engage and reach young people with this critical information while supporting teachers and parents. we’re thrilled to welcome these organizations to the amaze family.”
