on monday, july 8, secretary pompeo announced the creation of a commission on unalienable rights, chaired by professor mary ann glendon. he promised that the commission would undertake “a review of the role of human rights in american foreign policy.” this commission is merely the state department’s attempt to narrowly redefine the human rights of women and girls, young people, and lgbtq people under so-called religious liberty. 

in 1984 i had an abortion at 19. i was using a today sponge and it failed or i failed to correctly insert it.

so i am 18 and just about to finish my senior year. i had big plans to go to college and party and live it up. i was previously on birth control but stopped taking it randomly i also wasn’t really using protection so i am really to blame for getting pregnant. when i found out i was terrified but also a little excited i was going to have a baby.

the night of my 21st birthday was the most careless night of my life, but not like most careless 21 year olds. that was the night i got pregnant, with my 3rd child.

23. first college graduate of my family. loving and caring boyfriend. ready for the future ahead of me when birth control failed and i found myself pregnant.

i'm married to my high school sweetheart for just under 15 years and have an almost 7 year old. we didn't want more children, much to our family's shock and disapproval.
