it was 1973 i was 21 and had a was seeing someone who after a nice dinner out had sex with for the first and last time. it was only my 2ndsexual experience so to even think i was pregant was not even a possiblity, so i thought.

when my son was 18 months old, we decided to try for a sibling. my first pregnancy ended in an early miscarriage. i quickly became pregnant again, and once we passed through the first trimester, i breathed a sigh of relief.

i was 22 and 2 months away from graduating college. my boyfriend at the time had made it known early in our relationship that he did not want me to have an abortion if we ever got pregnant, but the moment we were confronted with this, he decided that he didn't want to be a dad.

i was 19, went to a clinic to get on the birth control pill (this was 1971, pre roe days). the clinic dr found a mass in my breast,so i had to have surgery.

my first pregnancy was an accident (do not trust "fertility awareness" methods!!), but at the time i was pro-life so i kept it, even though i ended up with deep depression and a life-threatening illness.

we thought it was an ulcer. looking back now, it seems silly, but accidental pregnancy is something all women believe will never happen to them.
