this week the biden administration issued a confusing statement opposing gender-affirming surgery for transgender youth, a departure from their public commitment to expanding access to the broad spectrum of health care options for transgender young people.

everyone experiencing a health crisis should have access to life-saving health care, without political interference – including pregnant people who need an abortion. today, the supreme court has refused to cede to the anti-abortion extremists who are willing to endanger the lives of pregnant people, even in dangerous medical emergencies. 

the supreme court made the right decision today, rejecting anti-abortion extremists’ attempt to exploit the judicial system to bring a case with no merit before the court. medication abortion is safe, effective, and has been safely used by millions of people over the course of decades.

the biden administration’s recent executive order is a shameful attack on the safety, health, and dignity of asylum seekers, and puts many young people in harm’s way.

advocates condemns the harassment and threats experienced by young activists and staff in our movements working for the rights of palestinians and against islamophobia and antisemitism. young people have the right to fight for justice. targeting activists and employees, and driving them out of their jobs and schools is unacceptable.
