in 1974 i found my twenty year old self alone and pregnant. i was in my senior year of college in chicago and applying to graduate school. fortunately, i had been volunteering at a women’s health advocacy group and knew what to do and where to go. i had friends who could support me through the process. i was relieved to be able to end the pregnancy. this was forty years ago! access to abortion should not go backwards! i am shocked that we are facing this fight again.
