i made bad choices in marriage. i was sole support for my son from my first marriage and my second husband. pregnancy was very hard on me because it aggravated chronic health problems. i could not continue working if i carried the baby to term. so i decided to get an early abortion in order to protect myself and my family from economic hardship. i know it was the right decision even though i wished that there was a different alternative that would have worked. if a “pro-lifer” had been willing to support us through the pregnancy itself and through the first year of the child’s life, by that time, i would have been healthy enough to get back to work and care for both children. but “pro-lifers” aren’t really pro life.
