i was 16 years old and i was in love with my boyfriend of 2 years. we both were in high school leaving junior year and going to be seniors. we both had the same birthday and on our birthday, which was also our 2 year anniversary, we were intimate with each other for the first time. everything was great until a couple of weeks later; i came home from school throwing up and dizzy. i wasn’t on birth control because i had been a virgin before and didn’t think about it. i thought it was a flu going around but after 2 weeks of feeling sick, i realized that i was about 5 days late on my period. the same night, my boyfriend picked me up and we went to the next town over and bought 4 pregnancy tests. i took all 4 and 3 came back positive. the next day i went into planned parenthood, and everyone there was kind and helpful. they assured me that my decision was right. looking back, i’m okay with the choice i made because otherwise, i wouldn’t be happily married to my high school sweetheart with 2 beautiful children.
