i had an abortion and i have not regretted the decision for one minute. my pregnancy was planned but unfortunately, i ended up with a very rare ectopic pregnancy located in my c-section scar. the answer for my family was obvious, preserve my life for me, for my living child and for the rest of my family. i feel nothing but gratitude that my doctors treated me with dignity and compassion, that i was given the safe and legal options and that i did not endure the rule of arcane, religious dogma dictating what my choice and path. had i not been allowed to safely terminate my pregnancy, i would have died. i know that others have not been as fortunate as me in having a choice so readily available. i will fight to make sure all women, regardless of why they make it, have access to safe and legal abortion options.
