my story is very unremarkable. i was 20 years old and got pregnant by my boyfriend, someone whom i knew i would not be with forever.

i wasn’t even close to being done with college, i lived at home and had no money and no health insurance. i didn’t hesitate to have the abortion. he did not try to talk me out of it. i went on to graduate from college, serve in the army, and lead a very normal, productive life. through circumstance, i never had children but 25 years later i don’t regret it and i don’t feel sadness; in fact, i think it was one of the best decisions i ever made.
