i was 18. despite the “usual” rhetoric (which i think sometimes is more rhetoric than fact) it wasn’t a hard decision, it wasn’t a life-changing decision. i did not fret it, or regret it. it was right for me. it was a blessing.

i was in college and because i could have an abortion, i was able to stay in college, get a good job, pay taxes to society, and should i have kids, be able to give them a good life. none of that would have been possible had i been 18 and a single mother.
