as a full time nanny, i’ve seen everything it takes to be good parents. i look at parenting as an important choice. one to be taken seriously after emotional preparation, financial planning, and a stabilized life.

at 22 i got pregnant and knew i was not emotionally or financially stable enough to be a good mother. i opted for an abortion and started birth control. at 25 i was pregnant again, despite being on birth control. i had always felt that the abortion i had was the right decision and did not question having another. again, i was not prepared to be the parent my child would deserve and i firmly believe no child deserves less than the best. i have never regretted my choices. i work with children on a daily basis and though i love them and enjoy them, i am constantly reminded that i would not have been able to provide my children with the lives they needed.
