at 28, my boyfriend and i were engaged. he suggested “we” try to get pregnant. when that happened, it became apparent that he (as counseled by his father) didn’t want a child right then – he was just checking to see if i would be good “fertile-wife” material before he went through with the marriage!!!

i got an abortion and broke up with him.
