my boyfriend and i have been together for a good amount of time now. a few weeks ago i found out i was pregnant. neither of us are in a position to actually have a child but i also know we would be able to take care of it if that would be our choice. unfortunately, july 4th, 2013, my boyfriend went through one of the most horrible things a person could. his 7 year old son was struck by a stray bullet and was pronounced dead the following morning.

just as anyone would, he’s still dealing with everything stemming from that. when i told him i was pregnant, he started crying. he’s not ready for another kid, which is completely understandable. his son doesn’t even have a tombstone yet because of the mother, but that’s a different story. i have always been pro-choice, but when actually facing that decision it’s a lot harder than someone not dealing with it thinks. we are choosing to terminate because we’re not in a good position and neither of us think we are emotionally ready after losing his son.
