i’ve been pregnant 7 times: 3 children, 2 miscarriages and 2 abortions. my first abortion was when i was 16 and clearly not ready to be a parent and neither was my 16-year-old boyfriend. my second abortion was in my early 40s when i was in the middle of a divorce. my family was in so much turmoil at the time, i could not bring another life into that mess.

choosing to have an abortion was not easy. i don’t feel good about it, but i am confident in both cases, it was the right thing to do.
